teh '49 chevy project
« on: July 13, 2010, 10:26:11 PM »
It's long overdue. Been a project for far too long but it's coming together nicely. Should be ready to go for Hot August Nights in Reno for 2011. Trying to get it done for this year but its not looking good. Not building this badboy for performance, but more for show. Regardless, should be able to pump around 350 horse.

Drifer side view

9" Ford rear end is the only part of the pickup that isn't Chevy. Look closely, got a 4-way bag system on it  :-*

Corvette LT1

Custom center console with a DVD player cutout in teh driver side dash.

Suicide doors that were a pain in the fvcking ass.

teh dubs

All other nonpictured body parts are still in teh paint shop. Putting a '94 step side on it.

So many things right with this truck:

Awesome wheel and tire choice - too many people put way to big wheels on a rig to go obama on it and sacrifice:

acceleration
braking
toe in out control
handling

That color is sweet, rootbeer?  reddish brown?

Lt1 good motor for torque and HP

exhaust routing is great for the frame without excessive power robbing bends.

Looks like new wiring too, that is hard.  Props to you, keep updating.

that thing did get a lot of looks though.. all original CHP stuff like baton, guns, badges, CB radio etc. cool car, just not car show material.
