Our local NPR station had a piece that opined that one of the things that middle schoolers were skipping school to protest was that their parents might be treated like criminals. If I could speak to the little dears I would point out that their parents violated the law; and that they are truants.

If I can get back in time, I am going to join a counter-protest on the capitol steps.  I don't know if I can make it, since I have a life.  However, the minutemen of Tennessee (funny, since there are not international borders in TN) are holding it, and I feel a sense of duty.

I may walk across the street and pass out spanish gospel tracts.

The protests were fascinating.  The usual rent a mob were there, this time all brown-skins.  Mostly Mexican flags, with the occasional US flag, and I also saw a Honduras and a Guatamala flag.  A couple of the counter-protesters understood Spanish, and translated when they called US racists.

There were a couple thosand of them, while only about 20 of us at any given time.  Thankfully, no taunts or violence, and the police and state troopers involved all were very kind.

After I left the protest, I plain-shirted myself and started handing out gospel tracts.  Best response I ever had.
