I noticed nobody had posted anything about this. RIP Alex Chilton. Without Big Star there wouldn't have been a shitload of bands, some great, some not so good.

Don't forget about his time with The Boxtops; they were nothing to sneeze at. Aside from that "Watch the Sunrise" was/is a beautiful piece of Pop music.
