I actually thought the deadline was Friday at noon until I saw that the NHL Network was going to have all-day coverage tomorrow. uhh

The Caps are being pretty hush about things, the only word I've heard concerning them is from various NHL rumor sites that suggest McPhee is looking for a veteran goalie which I don't think is accurate. What the Caps should be looking at is a big defenseman in the Erskine mold. Veteran, big, cheap in terms of both contract and what they'd have to give up for him, and someone who won't be a free agent this summer.

Pens have solidified themselves again with trades for Jordon Leopold and Alexei Ponikarovsky. Ponikarovsky has 19 goals and will look great on Malkin's line with Fedetenko.

Glad to see Pony go to a contender - he should do well with the Pens.

I guess this deal was really about Luca Caputi for the Leafs - he's a 21 year old with some offensive potential.  Martin Skoula  Huh  WTF do the Leafs need with another ham and egger D man?

Trade Deadline comes around this year and once again the Bruins need somone to put the puck in the net.  And, as always, the Bruins arent going to do shit about it.

A Modano/Sid Crosby trade is all the rumor in Dallas this morning. If that comes to fruition I will throw my season tickets away.

It looks like the Red Wings are right up against the salary cap so they won't be doing much.

Sure would like to see them get a good tough defenseman to help in front of the net...

This was an addition by subtraction for Boston. They gave up a lazy underacheiving dressing room cancer right before playoff time.  Kool Aid

Direct from TSN:

Quote
Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Aaron Ward is on the move as he is headed to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for goaltender Justin Pogge and a fourth round draft pick.
