D. Howard is scary f*cking good.
True, but he's not the MVP.

If Durant doesn't win this thing they need to look into changing how voting is done. KD Had another 37 and 8 grabs tonight.
He has his team vying for the 2nd seed in the WEST conference right now, with a weak team around him in only his third year.
This should be in the bag for Durant barring a meltdown in the last 8 games.
Yes Lebron is pwning the east. That is with a far superior team than OKC in a far inferior conference in Lebrons seventh year.

Couldn't agree more Steve, but we all know the media likes to suck Lebron's cack so the king will probably end up winning it.

The tennant behind the MVP award is the player that contributes the most to his team. Not the best player on the best team....
So yes I think Durrant deserves it, but he won't win it...
I bet he finishes 3rd or 4th.....

Kevin Durant has 66 games so far with 25 or more points. In the last 30 years, it has only been done twice before. Kobe did it 67 times one year and Michael Jordan did it 68 times. KD has 8 games left.
Unfortunately, Lebron will win the award. You can't call it a rip off, or pretend that there is misjustice in the way the voting is done. Lebron is just that good and he also deserves it.
But I'm voting for KD simply because I like the underdog.

No question Lebron deserves the award. He deserves it every year with the numbers he puts up.
I think they should give it to KD solely based on the fact that he has the Thunder competing for one of the top spots in the West Conference ..in only his third year in the league.
If KD puts these numbers up and the Thunder aren't even in the discussion of playoff talk, its Lebrons no question.
Lebron and the Cavs are expected to be front runners in the East.

KD was robbed and there is no other way to put it. No question Lebron and Durant were far ahead of everyone else. Yet they give it to Lebron because he is on a better team.

I think Durant should have won it too but where would the Cavs be without LeBron? Spare me the Shaq bullshit. That team isn't seeing April without Lebron.

True. But without Durant OKC is competing with New Jersey for the most ping-pong balls. Btw, with how weak the East is; I think the Cavs could salvage an 8th seed w/o Lebron. The Bulls were under .500 and got in weren't they

Could have gone to either one, I don't have a problem with Lebron winning it, you can make the same arguments for both and both have almost equal value to their teams. Durant will win a few before he retires. I was rooting for Durant to win it becuase he went to high school 15 mins from me.

I thought I was going to be pissed when LeBron won the MVP again this year...But I am surprisingly indifferent about it.
After watching him carry the Cavs on his back so far through the play-offs I think the right choice was made. Especially after watching KD lay an egg in game 6 against the Lakers. I know the play-offs don't count in the voting, but it sort of did validate the decision for me.

"KD got robbed"
Either that or 116 out 123 people whose opinion counts saw LeBron put up one of the most statistically dominant seasons since MJ and shattered the season record for assists per game by a forward. Hell 3 of the left over 7 first place votes didn't even go to Durant, they went to Dwight Howard.
Either one.
(Cue: Look at the Cavs fan sticking up for LeBron/get off his nuts retort)
