I wouldn't mind seeing it go to 96, but anything more than that is way too many. I don't necessarily think it's fair that a bunch of 26-2 teams who win smaller conferences have to win their conf. tourneys to get in, so expanding it to 96 would allow more teams to get in.

I think it would be fun you could have a little mini-tournament for the mid-majors. Also more games, more fans happy, more money. Win-win no?

If your team can't salvage a .500 record in their own conference, and follow it up by shitting the bed in their conference tourney. Then why in the f*ck would the deserve a spot in the NCAA Championship tournament?

If my Spartans can't win 16 out of 32 games. They shouldn't even be in their conference tournament, let alone the Big dance.

jfc jitc. What a stoopid fooking thread.

BUMP...

I am watching the ND/ODU opening round game and there are a whole lot of people in there dressed like empty seats  The 2 teams are lumbering up and down the court at 33-32 half way through the second half...

The play in...errrrrr opening round game teams shot a combined 25% from the floor and committed 50 turnovers....

My point is that if you want to see more and more of that plus some 115-50 beatdowns go ahead and expand the tournament....But I don't.  I would actually like to see a quality product on the floor.

Update to the ND/ODU game.....

almost 7 minutes without a field goal by either team....That is some quality hoops right there.... uhh

Is there maybe a 10th place Big East Team, an 11th place Big-10 team or maybe a 4th place Midwest-Colonial Sky Mountain South Conference team we can add to really step up the level of competition..... uhh

For f*ck sakes.....

It may not be quality, but the game is really competitive which is good. Makes for exciting finishes.

Yea if anything they should get rid of the 1-16 match-up. I think out of the one hundred 1-16 match-ups in tournament history, there has been one game that was within 10 points in the second half which was last year in Pittsburgh's game.

If they expand this thing I will not be watching the first round, just like I don't watch the NIT now.

Why not one massive tournament with all 1,052 Division I teams? Just get rid of the regular season altogether. No one watches that crap anyway.
