Here's my new Deluxe Memory Man.

It's not tape delay but I really like the analog delay on this thing. It has true by-pass and dual outputs for direct out and effect out, so you could send out an unmodified signal if you wanted. As you can tell in the pic, they re-did the chassis. This is the 'New' version. The 'Classic' version is a bit bigger. I am rediscovering my guitar and in the process all my other pedals with this thing. It has 6 knobs, and here's what they do.
'Blend', on the far left, varies the mix of the signals. Basically if you turn it left you are emphasizing the clean signal and turn it right and the effects signal will be boosted; turn it far enough to the right and you will only hear your effect (this can help when you are fine tuning your sound).
The 'Level' knob does exactly what you would assume.
'Feedback' sets your repeat delays or echo. It could also be billed as 'Intensity', as the higher you turn it up the more intense your delays get.
The 'Chorus/Vibrato' knob is actually just a selector, left for chorus and right for vibrato. You adjust the levels with all the other knobs.
'Depth' is a lot of fun. It adjusts your modulation in the delay time. You can get some creepy sounds out of this pedal if you adjust chorus/vibrato in tune with the depth knob.
The last knob is of course 'Delay'. "The DELAY control determines the time between direct and delayed signals, and between the repeats when feedback is used. Strange, eerie and unusual pitch-shift
effects can be produced by changing the delay while playing, especially while using feedback."
If you have the means, I suggest you pick one up. They are so choice. Best delay pedal I've ever owned. Electro-Harmonix is
