Too many guards get too much respect in the league from officials.  Everyone is Dwayne Wading it to the line turning the game into a retarded game of reverse tag.  The NBA shouldn't have such a black/white stance on these type of touch fouls.  If a defense starts getting too rough, then unleash the whistles.  If it's just a little contact here and there just let it go.

as jeff van gundy and mark jackson discussed yesterday, dont give the division winner automatic 1-4 seeds
if someone else has a better record.   just rank the teams by best record no matter what division they are in.

They corrected that idiocy last year, I believe, to a certain extent. But I see ya workin.

Part of the problem is extending these 1st-round series to 7 games. Fine, except why not shorten the reg. season by a couple of games? The NBA playoffs are already the Winds of War, though they do take place at a time when there's not a lot else going on in American sports.

David in H-Town -- agree about the division reallignment. That's one of the reasons Mark Cuban voted against the Sonics moving to OKC -- a "tumbleweed" division -- of Midwest teams with low ratings, etc. (in his view, anyway). Dude needs to remind himself which team has 4 championships in the last 9 years, then he and his ilk need to go f*ck themselves.

The next time anyone is a "fan" of a team based on the size of the market will be the first.  Err, MLB, notwithstanding.
